GDC Billawar organises pledge ceremony under “Viksit Bharat Ka Mantra, Bharat Ho Nashe Se Swatantra” 

KATHUA,August 13, 2024, the faculty members (teaching and non- teaching) and students of Government Degree College Billawar came together in the courtyard of the college to organise a pledge ceremony under the theme “Viksit Bharat Ka Mantra, Bharat Ho Nashe Se Swatantra.” The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Alka Sharma, Principal GDC Billawar, and the guidance of Prof. Naresh Kumar, Coordinator IQAC, to commemorate the 77 th year of Indian Independence and the 5 th year of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

The event aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse. The participants resolved to keep themselves, their families, and their villages free from the menace of drugs. The pledge ceremony highlighted the commitment of the college to foster a healthy and drug-free environment, in alignment with the vision of a developed and progressive India. The event was a significant step towards creating awareness and promoting a drug-free society.
