GDC Kastigarh hosts Swachhta Campaign with Painting, Quiz & Essay Competitions
DODA AUGUST 07: Government Degree College Kastigarh organized a vibrant series of activities under the Swachhta Pakhwada campaign, featuring painting, quiz, and essay competitions.
These events were designed to instill a sense of patriotism and raise awareness about India’s rich history among students.
The competitions were held under the guidance of Prof. Koshal Kumar Mangotra, Principal of the college, and saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff.
Manakshi Devi secured the first position in the painting competition, while Group D emerged as the top performers in the quiz competition. In the essay writing competition, Humera Banoo, Manakshi Devi, and Amir Hussain won the first, second, and third positions, respectively.
The faculty members emphasized the theme “Swachhta Hi Sewa Hai” and encouraged students to engage actively in both scholastic and non-scholastic activities, highlighting how such events contribute to personal development.
The event was adjudicated by Dr. Anupam Lata and Prof. Sat Pal, with other faculty members and non-teaching staff, including Dr. Arjun Singh, Manmohan Kotwal, and Sachin Thakur, also in attendance.
This initiative not only celebrated the spirit of Swachhta Pakhwada but also reinforced the college’s commitment to nurturing students’ intellectual and moral growth through active participation in diverse activities.
