GDC Kishtwar organises Seminar on Career Opportunities after Graduation

KISHTWAR, May 06: Career Counselling and Guidance Cell, Government Degree College Kishtwar today organised a one Day Seminar on ‘Career Opportunities after Graduation.’

The chief guest and guest speaker on the occasion was Prof M. Afzal Wani- former Vice Chancellor IILM University Noida and former member Law Commission of India.

The program was organized under the direction of the College Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar.

The Program began with the welcome address by the College Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar.

Faisal Mushtaq, Coordinator Career Counselling and Guidance Cell introduced the guest speaker to the audience, mostly students of semester 2nd, 4th and 6th.

Prof M. Afzal Wani, in his address, discussed various opportunities, avenues and career prospects after graduation available for the students. He discussed in detail competitive examinations conducted from time to time by UPSC and State Public Service Commission.

Prof. Wani advised the students to develop scientific temper irrespective of their streams along with dedication, honesty and hard work before facing any competitive examination..He also explained the importance of research after masters and the universities offering scholarship for the same and the procedure for getting admissions in such reputed institutes.

Prof  Sushil Kumar, the member of CC & GC, coordinated the proceedings of the program. In the end a question answer session was also held in which students ask various questions related to career options and clear their doubts.

It is pertinent to mention here that Prof. Wani is an academician of National and International repute and has contributed significantly in the field of Law at national level.
