GDC Kishtwar organizes debate on importance of organ donation

KISHTWAR, August 03: On the occasion of “Angdaan Mahotsav,” a debate competition on importance of organ donation” was organised by the NSS unit of Government Degree College Kishtwar in the college today.

The program, organised under the patronage of Principal, Dr. Jyoti Parihar, saw participation by more than 60 students who highlighted the importance of organ donation. In the second session, a Panch Pran Pledge taking was organised under the banner of “Meri Maati, Mera Desh.”

NSS Program Officer, Dr. Vijay Kumar, supervised the event, while NSS Advisory Committee Members, Prof. Umer Din Rather, Prof. Falak, Prof. Romana, Prof. Sonika Sen and Dr. Sehrish Gazal assisted the proceedings.

During the event, HoD English, Prof. Falak Mam, spoke at length about the importance of organ donation. HoD Sociology, Prof. Sonika Sen, also emphasised its importance and encouraged students to participate in future programs.
