GDC Kunjwani celebrated Sir Syed Day
JAMMU, OCTOBER 20: Government Degree College Kunjwani organized one day programme for celebration of Sir Syed Day. The aim of the programme was to honor the legacy and contributions of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the college Dr.Ravender Kumar Tickoo who emphasized the urgent need for educational reforms and encouraged students to follow the footsteps of Sir Syed.
Dr. Arti Pandoh Gupta from Department of Physics extended a warm welcome to all the participants underscoring the significance of the day.
Dr.Mushtaq Ahmed Wani Ex.H.O.D Urdu (BGSBU) Guest of Honour delivered enlightening speech which highlighted Sir Syed’s belief that education is the key to empowerment and he further said that sir syed instituted scientific temperament and make western knowledge available to Indians in their own language making his message more relevant in today’s context.
Dr. Ashaq Choudhary from Department of Urdu coordinated the programme and provided valuable insights into various aspects of Sir Syed’s vision and approach. Prof. Bushra Nizami from Department of Sociology delivered the formal vote of thanks expressing gratitude to all for their contributions in making the event a resounding success.
