GDC Mahanpur organized International Conference

KATHUA, March 28: Mahanpur Degree College, Mahanpur organized International Conference on “Evolving Education in India: Challenges and Prospects” A Multidisciplinary Approach (Blended Mode )on 28th of March.2023. The main objectives of the Conference were putting Value to Education, putting Values to Humanities, Language and Sciences and Challenges in Education at various levels after the implementation of National Educational Policy (NEP)2020 and exploring ways to improve it.

At the very outset, Dr. Sangeeta Sudan Principal and Conference Director formally welcomed the Chief Guest Sh. Alok Kumar Principal Secretary Hr.Education Department JKUT , Guest of honour, Key Note Speakers Dr. Catalino N Mandoza, Vice- Chancelor Eudoxia University USA, Dr. Parikshat Singh Manhas, Chairman, JKBOSE, Dr. Mandeep Singh Assistant Prof. University of Jammu , Dr. J.N.Baliya Head, Department of Education, Central University of Jammu and all the delegates and distinguished guests present in the virtual mode and offline mode . In her welcome address she emphasized on the need for collaboration between different stakeholders to bring meaningful change in the Indian Hr. Education system. Dr. Sudan appreciated the efforts of Organizing Secretary Dr. Balbinder Singh and other members of Organizing committee for putting efforts tirelessely to make this Conference a great success.

The Chief Guest of the Conference Sh. Alok Kumar (IRS) appreciated the efforts of the college administration to organize such a wonderful and knowledgeable Conference to eradicate the problems and difficulties of present Education system after the implementation of NEP 2020.

The Key Note Speakers were Dr. Catalino N Mandoza, Vice- Chancelor 6 rEudoxia University USA, Dr. Parikshat Singh Manhas, Chairman, JKBOSE, Dr. Mandeep Singh Assistant Prof. University of Jammu , Dr. J.N.Baliya Head, Department of Education, Central University of Jammu while the Guest of honour were Dr. B.S. Bhatia Pro-V Chancelor RIMT University Punjab and Brigadier Dr.Vijay Sagar Dheman, VC G.K. University Punjab and Additional Director General, NCC.

First technical session was chaired by Dr. Arun Dev Singh and 25delegates discussed the theme of the conference. Second technical session was chaired by Dr. Ram Singh and Co-Chaired Dr. Rachana and about 20 scholars presented their papers offline.

Dr. Parshotam Dass Head, Department of Sanskrit conducted the whole proceedings of the conference and Prof. Rohit Sharma I/c Head, English Department presented the report of the International Conference. The International Conference was attended by more than 130 faculty members, Research Scholars and students from various Universities and Colleges in India & abroad. In the end, formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Balbinder Singh, Organizing Secretary.

The Conference of this magnitude could be held because of the combined efforts of the Advisory and Organizing Committee members including Prof. Arvind Kumar, Prof. Meena Devi, Sh. Sourabh Dutta,Dr, Parshotam Dass, Dr. Neetika Verma, Dr. Samvedna Sharma, Dr. Ajay Singh Manhas,Prof. Rafia Bano and Prof. Rohit Sharma of GDC Mahanpur.
