GDC Neeli Nallah  organizes poster making, slogan writing competition to promote National Road Safety campaign

UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 05: Road Safety Club Government Degree College Neeli Nallah Udhampur organised poster making and slogan writing competition under “National Road Safety campaign” under able guidance of Prof. Hans Raj, Principal of the college. 

More than thirty students participated in the competition. The students made posters and slogans pertaining to Do’s and Don’ts with respect to Road Safety Rules.  Simran Roy, Bhoomika Sharma and  Aayushi Sharma got 1st ,2nd and 3rd Position in Slogan Writing competition respectively.

Mebish Akhter,  Shahina Akhtar and Taniya Sharma got the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively in Poster Making competition respectively. The students were awarded with certificates onspot.  The competition was judged by Dr. Maansi Sharma, Dr. Sunil Tanoch and Prof. Rekha Sharma.

Speaking on the occasion,  Principal of the college impressed upon the teachers and students to wear helmets seat belts not driving under the influence of alcohol and drive within the permissible speed limits. He further emphasized that to avoid chance of collision, a safe distance is to be maintained while driving. The event was organized by Prof. Shaista Yasmeen, Convenor of Road Safety Club of the college. The organizing committee members Dr. Akhter Hussain, Dr. Mahima Bhagat, Dr. Zahoor Mir, Dr. Muntazir Wani & Mrs. Swati Sharma were present on the occasion.
