GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur celebrates International Youth Day

UDHAMPUR, August 12: Red Ribbon Club, Government Degree College Neeli Nallah, Udhampur, in collaboration with J&K Aids Control Society, Department of Health & Medical Education, Government of J&K celebrated “International Youth Day” by organizing an activity on the theme “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World”.

The programme was organized under the able guidance of Principal of the College, Prof. Hans Raj.

 As many as 10 students displayed their projects which were made with the help of solid waste material. While displaying the projects, students also briefed about the importance of the concept towards a sustainable world and its contribution in reducing pollution and conserving natural resources.

 The Principal of the College, Prof. Hans Raj appreciated the efforts of the students and motivated them that the idea of making items from waste material would also help in generating self-employment.

 In the event, Roopali Rajput of Sem- V secured 1st position, Ramneek Sharma of Sem III secured second position and Simran Roy of Sem -V secured III position.
