GDC Ramban conducts campus cleanliness cum plantation drive under “Meri Maati Mera Desh”

RAMBAN, August 10: A two-day campus cleaning and plantation drive was today started by the NSS Unit of Government Degree College Ramban under the theme “Meri Maati Mera Desh”.

Numerous NSS volunteers took part in the event under the supervision of NSS programme officer Prof. Vickey Rattan.

The event was among a number of others that the college has planned to organize leading up to Independence Day celebrations on August 15, 2023.

The programme began with a speech by the principal, Prof. Archana Kaul. She persuaded and inspired the students to passionately participate in such activities.

Volunteers cleaned the surroundings inside and outside the college main building. They swept the corridors, collected the trash (including plastic wrappers) and other debris, and dumped it all in trash cans. The volunteers performed the tasks with great motivation and enthusiasm.

The volunteers were given refreshments after the activity.
