GDC Ramgarh hosts poster making competition to mark World AIDS Day

SAMBA, DECEMBER 01: Red Ribbon Club of Govt. Degree College Ramgarh, in collaboration with, Jammu& Kashmir AIDS Control Society, Department of Health & Medical Education, J&K Govt.  organized a poster making competition to mark the World AIDS Day on this year’s theme ‘Let Communities lead’ under guidance and co-ordination of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the college.

At the outset, Prof. Risha Kumari, Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club, GDC Ramgarh, said that this day provides an opportunity to unite in the fight against HIV/AIDS. She made the students aware about the importance of the day and this year’s theme. We should provide support to communities to end this scourge in their neighborhoods, their countries and around the world.

Students of the College participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm. Alisha Menia of B.A. Sem. III stood first prize; Bhoomika Sharma, Sem. I bagged the second prize; Reema Sharma Sem- I clinched the third prize. The event was adjudged by Prof. Bhram Dutt, Dr. Shivali Choudhary and Priya Sharma.

Prof. Risha Kumari, Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club. organised the whole event meticulously. Dr. Shivali Choudhary and Priya Sharma encouraged the students to participate in such events in future also.

All the faculty members of the college including Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Prof. Sandeep Kumari, Prof. Bhram Dutt, Sunil Kumar were also present.
