GDC Ramgarh organises awareness programme on “Fire Safety Management”

SAMBA, NOVEMBER 08: Government Degree College Ramgarh on Wednesday organised an awareness Programme on “Fire Safety Management” in collaboration with Fire & Emergency Services Department”.

The event was organised under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College.

The awareness programme was organized by IQAC of the College under the convenorship of Dr. Aditi Khajuria.

The event commenced with a Lecture cum Interactive Session, with Ashwani Dubey, Incharge Fire Station Swankha as the esource Peson. He apprised the students about the types of Fire Extinguishers, Techniques and Equipment being used in Fire Fighting operations. He also gave a live demonstration on prevention and management of accidental fires and how to deal with accidental fires in LPG cylinders at home.

The demonstration team comprised of Vijay Kumar (Head Constable), Satpaul (Constable), Tilak Raj (Constable) and Simranjeet (Constable)

In her concluding address, Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra  highlighted the importance of the awareness programmes being organized by Fire & Emergency Services Demanded. She said that the students of the College will be highly benefitted through this programme as it will foster a sense of Collective responsibility and ensure disaster preparedness to safeguard homes and communities. She appreciated   Department of Fire & Emergency Services Swankha for organising such events for young generation.

All the faculty members witnessed the event.   The programme was co-ordinated by Prof. Sandeep Kumari.
