GDC Ramgarh organises Essay Writing Competition on theme ‘Life & Contributions of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in India’s Independence Movement’
SAMBA, January 20: Red Ribbon Club & NSS of Government Degree College Ramgarh organized an Essay writing competition on the theme ‘Life & Contributions of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in India’s Independence Movement’, here today. The event was organized under able guidance and leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Satinder Kaur, Principal of the College.
The students of the College participated with great Zeal and enthusiasm.
Prof. (Dr.) Satinder Kaur, Principal of the College said that Subhash Chandra Bose was one of the most eminent freedom fighters of India, and he will be always remembered by the nation.
“Possessing extraordinary leadership skills and a charismatic orator, Subhash Chandra Bose, as an Indian nationalist, had made significant attempts to defy colonialism and had coined the term ‘Jai Hind’” she said and added Neta Ji raised the first Indian National Army (INA), Azad Hind Fauj in 1943 and started an armed coup and inspired thousands of Indian youth to join the struggle for independence from the British colonial rule. His famous slogans are ‘tum mujhe khoon do, main tumhe Aazadi dunga’, ‘Jai Hind’, and ‘Delhi Chalo’.
In the essay writing Competition, the first position was bagged by Jaswant Kour, Semester 1st; Ritika Manhas, Semester 3rd & Ravinder Kour shared the second position, while third position was shared by Sarbjeet Singh and Gurjeet kour.
The event was organized by Dr. Sandeep Kumar and Prof. Risha Kumari. The event was judged by Dr Ekta Rani, Dr. Rahul Kundal and Dr Anjali Bala. The other faculty members present were Dr. Shamsher Lal, Dr. Varinder Kour, Ms. Amarjot and Ashish Kumar.
