GDC Ramgarh organises ‘Panch Pran’ pledge ceremony
SAMBA, August 10: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit-Prabha & IQAC of Government Degree College Ramgarh today organised the ‘Panch Pran’ Pledge Taking Ceremony as part of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign launched nationwide to commemorate Independence Day under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. The programme was organized under the supervision and leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College. The Principal said that the Panch Pran Pledge ceremony was a celebration of patriotism, unity and commitment towards building a stronger and prosperous India. She further said that such programmes underscored the College’s dedication to promoting the values of the Nation’s freedom struggle and its contribution towards nation building in the present and future.
The proceeding of the Pledge were conducted by the NSS volunteer, Vimal Singh, Sem-V who gave a valuable insight into the significance of the Panch Pran and emphasized the commitment to the five key actions. The enrolled students, Faculty members and Non-teaching staff took the pledge by taking ‘Deepak’ in one hand as a symbolic gesture and pledging their dedication towards the development and progress of the Nation.
IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Aditi Khajuria highlighted the objective of organizing the program that was to improve the human kind whose form the main fabric of our culture and focuses to make India a developed country, eliminate the mentality of slavery, be proud of our rich heritage, uphold unity and solidarity, fulfill duties as citizens and to respect those who protect our nation.
Dr. Shamsher Lal (NSS PO) coordinated the event and appreciated the efforts of the NSS volunteers.
