GDC Ramgarh organizes Intra- College Slogan Writing Competition
JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 16: Government Degree College Ramgarh organized an Intra-College Slogan writing Competition on the theme ‘Truth and Non-Violence, in continuation to the series of activities being organized to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti 2023 under the aegis of India’s Presidency in G20 and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The event was organized under the guidance and coordination of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College.
A number of students participated in the activity with full enthusiasm. Slogans that were made by students include the messages related to cleanliness, truth, non-violence, principles of life, etc. The programme was organized by Prof. Risha Kumari, Convener of the series of the activities to be organized on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti 2023. Speaking on the occasion, she said that Gandhiji’s idea of ‘Truth and Non-Violence’ was the part of Indian Independence movement and has contributed to the development of Indian nationalism. Further, she added that Nonviolence is the personal practice of being harmless to self and others under every condition.
In the beginning, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Department of Statistics, briefed the participants about the rules of the event and stressed on the value and significance of Gandhiji’s weapons of non-violence and truth.
The first and second positions were clicked by Ms. Deepika Kundal, Semester V and Ms. Akriti Sharma respectively while the third position was bagged by Ms. Ritika Manhas, student of Semester V.
The faculty members who witnessed the event include Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Prof. Seema Sharma, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. Shamsher Lal, Prof. Risha Kumari, Dr. Rahul Kundal, Dr. Ekta Rani, Dr. Shivali Choudhary & Dr. Paramjeet Kour.
