GDC Ramgarh organizes poster making competition under SVEEP
SAMBA, AUGUST 23: Electoral Literacy Club of Government Degree College Ramgarh organized a poster making competition under the aegis of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) to inculcate constitutional obligations and to encourage students to uphold democratic traditions of the country.
The event was conducted under the guidance and supervision of the Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjli Andotra.
The Principal appreciated the participating students for taking a keen interest in such activities. She said students must be aware of their Right to Vote which is a potent tool in democracy besides knowing their fundamental rights and duties enshrined in the Constitution of India. She also appealed to all the students to cast their precious votes.
The whole programme was organised by Prof. Sandeep Kumari HoD, Education and SVEEP Nodal Officer. The competition was interesting and colourful as the participants made vibrant and thoughtful posters. All the faculty members and students of the college enthusiastically witnessed the performance and promised to cast their votes in the upcoming elections.
The competition was judged by an esteemed panel comprising Dr. Snobar and Dr. Shivali Panjgotra. Harmandeep Kour of semester III, Jagmeet Kour of semester V secured first and second position respectively. The third position was shared by Tamana and Meena of semester V.
