GDC Reasi starts Yoga Classes
REASI, June 14: Five day yoga classes were started today by Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College Reasi under the guidance of Director Ayush and supervision of district nodal officer Reasi. Deputy Commissioner, Babila Rakwal was the chief Guest at the inaugural function.
Around fifty students of the college attended the yoga class. Abdul Majid (YOGA INSTRUCTOR) explained the importance of Yoga in human life.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance and need of practicing Yoga to stay fit and healthy. “Yoga was an invaluable gift of India to the world. It brings harmony in all walks of life and helps in disease prevention, health promotion and management of stress and anxiety besides helping to prevent many lifestyle related disorders, “she added.
The principal of the college, Dr. Kulwant Kour explained the level of stress in the present day and other negative tendencies like mood swings, lack of concentration etc. which can be improved and cured with the help of YOGA.
