GDC Vijaypur accords grand farewell to final semester Students  

SAMBA, May 23: To bid adieu to final semester (6^th) students of the college, a grand farewell party was organized by students of semester 4th of GDC Vijaypur.

  The welcome address was presented by Simranjeet Kour and Priyansh Vaid of B.Com Sem-IV.

Dr. Vandana Gupta, Principal of the College was the Chief Guest of the event. The party commenced with the lighting of the traditional Lamp followed by a grand Welcome of the chief Guest of the programme.

The proceedings of the program were conducted by Chandan,  Akash ,  Riya and Kavya Charak of Sem-IV. The programme featured different cultural performances which included singing and dancing competitions, poetry recitation, interesting fun games etc. which were appreciated by the entire audience with thundering applause.

Staff and students wished the outgoing students best of luck for their upcoming challenges and also took their suggestions for improvement and betterment of the College. The College Principal, Dr. Vandana Gupta, congratulated the organizing team and students of semester 4th and extended her best wishes to the outgoing students.  

Towards the end of the farewell ceremony, students of Sem-VI were given gifts as a token of love. Anirudh and Jyoti were selected as Mr. BA and Ms. BA respectively where as Santeshwar and Riya were selected as Mr. B.Com and Ms. B.Com respectively.

The whole event was organized by Keshav Kehra, Chandan, Haroon Malik, Mr. Akash, Saksham, Kavya Charak, Sheetal Sharma, Kajal Choudhary, Amit, Riya, and Ms. Simranjeet Kour of Sem-IV.

It was coordinated by Prof. Poonam Kundan (Convenor, Cultural Committee) and co-coordinated by Dr. Shittal Sharma (Convenor IQAC). Others who were present were Dr. Gunjeet Mahiwal, Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo, Prof. Renuka Kundal, Prof. Sonia Devi, Prof. Sandhya Bhagat, Prof. Rakesh Kumar, Prof. Yograj Singh, Prof. Amanpreet Kour, Prof. Adeeti Antehal and Ms. Disha Arti.
