GDC Vijaypur organises cultural programme to commemorate Independence Day
SAMBA, AUGUST 14: As a part of the series of program being organized under the banner of ‘Independence Day Celebrations’ and ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ the Cultural Committee and NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of Government Degree College Vijaypur today organised cultural activities which was inaugurated by Principal, Dr. Vandana Gupta.
Students of the college including NSS volunteers presented various cultural items including patriotic songs, poems, short stories, speech and dance items.
Principal of the college, Dr. Vandana Gupta, while speaking on the occasion congratulated all on the occasion of Independence Day. She further articulated that Independence Day is not simply a day of pleasure and enjoyment for Indians but is also a day to commemorate those who gave their lives in service to the nation.
The commemorative program, orchestrated with precision, aimed to honor the legacy of these brave-heart soldiers and to imbibe a sense of patriotism among the college students.
The event was organized with the full support and coordination of the senior faculty members of the college Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science) and Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce) andProf. Ritu Bhagat (HOD Education). The event was coordinated by Prof. Poonam Kundan (Convenor Cultural Committee) and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO) and co-coordinated by Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD Dogri) and Prof. Meetu Sharma (HOD Geography).
