GDCW Kathua organized Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition on “Energy Conservation”

KATHUA, March 4: An Intra-College Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition on the topic “Energy Conservation” was organized by IQAC, Science Club and Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Club of the college to celebrate Indian Presidency over G20 summit and “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav” under the guidance of Prof. (Dr) Savi Behl, Esteemed Principal of the college. The NSS Volunteers, NCC Cadets and other students of the college participated in the competition. The winners were selected by the jury members: Dr Babita Jamwal, Dr Naresh Sharma and Ms Raj Kumari.

Ms Nivrati, Ms Shahnaz Akhtar and Ms Bharti Devi were adjudged at first, second and third position respectively, in the Poster Making Competition. Ms Komal Sharma, Ms Ritika Kalodra and Ms Muskan Thakur & Ms Shivangi were adjudged at first, second and third position respectively in Slogan Writing Competition. 

Prof Ashwani Khajuria, Convener Science Club appreciated the students & faculty members for this initiative. He exhorted upon the need to understand the importance of energy conservation as energy conservation can reduce the climate change also. He encouraged the students to participate in such type of activities in future also so that more awareness could be generated for it. Prof Ravinder Kour, Dr Babita Jamwal, Dr Naresh Sharma, Dr. Arun Dev Singh, Dr. Vaishno Devi, Prof Raj Kumari, Dr Poonam Sambyal and Dr. Ajay Sanotra were present in the function.
