GDCW Kathua Release of News Letter Iravati-II and College on Wheels

KATHUA, April 16: Government Degree College for women, Kathua today released its Edition of News Letter “Iravati-II” for the month of January to June 2023 and College on Wheels –J&K Gyanodaya Express .

On this occasion Dr. Savi Behl, Principal of the college, was the chief guest. The news letter was compiled by newsletter committee headed by Dr. Rachna Devi with active support of committee members, Prof. Romika Bassin, Prof. Surbhi Gupta, Dr. Mukesh Kumari, Dr. Ajay Sanotra and Dr. Satish khajuria,Dr. Gopal Sharma.

Dr. Rachna Devi, Convener Newsletter committee, delivered welcome address and expressed gratitude to Principal for her guidance, support and cooperation. She also thanked the committee members for their dedication and hard work.

Chief guest of the event, Dr. Savi Behl in her speech congratulated the whole team of news letter committee for timely completion of the work and motivated the students and faculty members to showcase their achievements and various activities organised by the institution because news letter is  said to be the mirror of the institution.

Dr.Savi Behl also appreciated the efforts of the students who have participated in college on Wheels –An initiative by Government of J&K in which 5 students of the College participated. The College on Wheels initiative, spanning November 19 to December 2, 2023, provided a kaleidoscope of experiences encompassing India’s historical, cultural, scientific, and social dimensions. The goal is to facilitate the discovery of the student’s inner passions and life’s purpose through immersive, collaborative, project-based learning experiences to address real-world challenges. 

 Proceedings of the program were conducted by Prof. Romika Baasin along with vote of thanks. Dr. Yashpaul and Prof. Sachin Jeet Singh were also present at this program.
