General Observer, DEO supervise election staff training at GDC Nowshera

RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 14: To ensure smooth and transparent conduct of the General Elections to the Legislative Assembly 2024, Election Observer for Nowshera & Kalakote-Sunderbani Assembly Constituency, Mani Ram Sharma, along with District Election Officer (DEO) Abhishek Sharma, today supervised the training of the election staff held at Government Degree College (GDC) Nowshera.


The training session aimed to equip the polling staff with essential knowledge and skills to efficiently manage the polling process on Election Day. During the session, both the Observer and the DEO interacted with the participants, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the guidelines of the Election Commission of India to ensure free and fair elections.


Speaking on the occasion, DEO Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, urged the staff to perform their duties with dedication and responsibility, ensuring that all electoral procedures are followed meticulously. He stressed the importance of impartiality and transparency in managing the electoral process, stating that the role of election staff is crucial in upholding the democratic process.


Election Observer Mani Ram Sharma, while addressing the participants, highlighted the need for a robust and foolproof arrangement for the smooth conduct of elections.


In addition to supervising the training, DEO & SSP conducted an inspection of the accommodation facilities arranged for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) companies stationed in the area. The accommodation facilities, set up to house the CAPF personnel deployed for election security, were found to be adequate, and the Observer expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made by the administration.


Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Nowshera, Babu Ram Tandan, was also present on the occasion and provided a briefing on the steps taken to ensure the welfare and logistical needs of the CAPF personnel during their stay in the district.
