General Observer inspects Polling Stations in Gulmarg AC
BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 28: Ahead of the Assembly Elections in Baramulla on October 1, General Observer for 10-Baramulla and 11-Gulmarg Assembly Constituencies, Aparna U conducted a thorough inspection of several designated polling stations in 11-Gulmarg AC today.
The inspection mainly concentrated on ensuring that every polling station is equipped with Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF), which are vital for delivering a smooth and accessible voting experience.
The facilities inspected included clear signage, access to clean drinking water, functional toilets, ramps for individuals with disabilities, proper lighting, and comfortable seating. The aim is to guarantee a respectful and hassle-free experience for all voters on election day.
The Observer also conducted inspection of the model polling stations established in the AC, including pink polling station which will be managed by all women polling staff and Red Polling Stations manned by persons with disabilities (PwDs).
Aparna U, expressed her satisfaction with the arrangements put in place by the district administration and said that Election Commission of India (ECI) remains steadfast in its approach to ensure that all polling stations are fully prepared to provide a seamless voting process.
