General, Police Observers review arrangements at Counting Center and Strong Room in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 12: General Observer for the Legislative Assembly Elections, S.A. Raman, along with Police Observer Ravi Ranjan Kumar today conducted an extensive inspection of the Counting Center and Strong Room located at GDC Boys and Government College for Women Udhampur.
The inspection was aimed at ensuring the smooth and secure conduct of the upcoming General Assembly Elections 2024 in Udhampur District.
Accompanied by District Election Officer Saloni Rai, along with senior civil and police officials, the observers focused on evaluating the overall preparedness and security arrangements at both the Counting Center and the Strong Room.
The visit was specifically organized to assess security protocols, logistic arrangements, and the infrastructure in place to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.
Special attention was given to strengthening security measures to mitigate potential risks and to ensure the transparency of the vote counting process.
The team was briefed by DEO Udhampur on the existing security strategies and other arrangements made in accordance with the Election Commission of India’s guidelines.
