GGM Science College hosts Symposium, Cultural Program
JAMMU, February 21: Cultural Committee of GGM Science College, in collaboration with Department of Information and Public relations, organizedĀ a symposium on the topic “Cultural Practices for Sustainable Environment” under the patronage of the College Principal Prof Rajesh Kumar Gupta and guidance of Convener Culture Committee Prof. Babita Mahajan, here today.
The symposium was followed by cultural activities like singing and flute playing. The artists of the Cultural unit of Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) presented Dogri songs and Gazals.
All the members of the Cultural Committee and a large number of students participated in the event judged by Dr. Vandana Khajuria, HOD English, Dr Poonam Kamotra, HOD Chemistry and Prof. Preeti Dogra, HOD EVS.
The Participants highlighted that the cultural practices have a critical role to play in promoting a sustainable environment so that āwe can create a healthier and more vibrant world for future generations.ā
In the symposium, Simaranjeet of Semester I won Ist prize, Ayush Parihar of Semester 1st clinched 2nd prize and 3rd prize was bagged by Drishti of Semester I.
The students performed very well and the event was a great success. The whole event was organised by Prof. Shdha Anand. The event was coordinated by Dr Neeti Chhibber and Prof. Mehnaz Bano. The program was anchored by Rahil Bhat student of semester 5th and Drishti Gupta students of Semester 1st.
