GHS Bhed Blore promotes Electoral awareness through painting competition

KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 14: As part of the ongoing voter awareness initiatives under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program, a special painting competition was organized today at Government High School Bhed Blore to promote electoral awareness. The event was held in the presence of the Principal of Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Kathua and AC SVEEP Nodal Officer.

The theme of the painting competition revolved around the significance of electoral participation and fostering a stronger democratic process.

Students showcased their artistic skills, using vibrant colors and powerful messages to depict the importance of casting a vote, especially in the upcoming assembly elections scheduled for 1st October 2024. Their artwork conveyed themes of democracy, responsible voting, and the power of each individual’s vote in shaping the future of the nation.

During the event, the Principal of GGHSS Kathua and Nodal Officer for SVEEP addressed the students and community members, highlighting the role of creative platforms like painting in spreading awareness about electoral participation. They emphasized the need for every eligible voter, especially first-time voters, to exercise their democratic right and make informed choices during the upcoming elections.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants, teachers, and officials for their active involvement in the program, which served as a unique way to strengthen the connection between the electoral process and the community. Through such initiatives, the SVEEP program continues to build momentum toward ensuring maximum voter turnout in Kathua.
