GHSS Khaltse hosts closing ceremony of zonal level inter school tournament
Leh, July 18, 2024: Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Khaltse hosted the closing ceremony of zonal level inter school tournament today on July 16.
The tournament was organised by District Youth Service and Sports Department, Leh in which 18 schools participated in the tournament.
Principal, GHHS, Khaltse, Tsewang Paljor was the chief guest while Zonal Education Officer, Khaltse, Sonam Dolker was the guest of honour on the occasion. Chief guest Tsewang Paljor highlighted that this tournament was an opportunity for the schools to identify the talented students so that they can participate in national level tournaments. He added that national level participation is very important.
During the closing ceremony, in charge teachers of all schools and students were present.
In the category of 5km race (Boys), the first position was bagged by Skarma Tsultim Rabgais from Lotsava Lamdon School, Tingmosgang and the runner up was Lakshman Tamang from Middle School Khaltse. Similarly, in the girl’s category, first position was bagged by Rigzin Angmo from Middle School, Kanji and the runner up was Nawang Dolker from Mahabodhi School, Tingmosgang.
In the category of 100m race (Boys), the first position went to Stanzin Norboo from Lamdon Jamyang School, Khaltse and second position went to Lakshman Tamang from Middle School Khaltse. Similarly, in the girl’s category first position went to Eshay Angmo from Middle School, Leh and second position went to Samreen Fatima from Middle School, Achinathang.
In team events in the category of Volleyball in the boy’s division, the winning position was bagged by Middle School Khaltse and the runner up position went to Lamdon Jamyang School, Khaltse. Similarly, in the girl’s division Lotsava Lamdon School, Tingmosgang bagged the winning trophy and Mahabodhi School, Tingmosgang secured the runner up position.
Further, in the category of handball (Boys), Lotsava Lamdon School, Tingmosgang bagged the winning trophy and Lamdon Jamyang School, Khaltse secured the runner up position. Similarly in the girl’s division the first position went to Lotsava Lamdon School, Tingmosgang and the second position went to Mahabodhi School, Tingmosgang.
