GMS Jandrari Rechristened in the Honor of Martyr HC Krishan Chand Khajuria
RAMNAGAR, AUGUST 09: In a solemn and respectful ceremony, the Government Girls Middle School Jandrari was officially rechristened in the name of Martyr Head Constable Krishan Chand Khajuria.
Rafiq Ahmad Jaral, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ramnagar, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Bhutoo Choudhary, Deputy Superintendent of Police DAR Udhampur, was the Guest of Honor.
The other officers, who attended the function, include Sat Paul Bhagat, Block Development Officer, Ramnagar, Girdari Lal, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Ramnagar, and Chain Singh, Naib Tehsildar Ramnagar.
The program commenced with a tribute to the martyr, where attendees paid their respects by laying flower garland, to the valiant son of the soil who laid down his life in the line of duty. The ceremony also featured a vibrant cultural program showcasing the patriotic spirit of the students from various schools of the Panchayat Thaplal.
The rechristening of the school in Martyr Krishan Chand Khajuria’s name stands as a tribute to his bravery and a reminder to the younger generation of the invaluable contributions made by the armed forces to the nation’s security and freedom.
On this occasion, the Chief guest highlighted the supreme sacrifice of the martyr, who laid his life on the auspicious day of Independence, 15 August 1999, during a fierce militant attack at Sarare, Chenani.
Amidst indiscriminate firing, he displayed unparalleled bravery, standing resilient in the face of danger, but he sustained serious injuries while defending his comrades and ultimately, he gave his life for the cause of freedom and peace.
By renaming the school in his honor, the Govt aim to instill the values and principles, which Martyr HC Krishan Chand displayed in the battlefield and his legacy will serve as a beacon of inspiration for generations to come.
