Gold futures gain Rs 215 to Rs 61,102/10 gm

New Delhi, May 15 (PTI) Gold prices on Monday increased by Rs 215 to Rs 61,102 per 10 gram in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for June delivery traded higher by Rs 215 or 0.35 per cent at Rs 61,102 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 13,060 lots.

Fresh positions built up by participants led to the rise in gold prices, analysts said.

Globally, gold was trading 0.26 per cent higher at USD 2,025 per ounce in New York.
