Good Governance Week commences in Leh district

Leh, Dec 19: Various camps with activities focused on the nationwide campaign of Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur 2022 under Good Governance Week (Dec 19-25) were held in Khaltse and Nubra sub-division of Leh district.

Good Governance Week under Sushasan Saptah Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur (SSPGA) 2022 aims to redress public grievances, improve delivery of services and promote citizen-centric governance.

In Khaltse sub-division, the Good Governance Week programme commenced in the presence of SDM Khaltse, Suhail Ahmed and all the HODs. A similar event was also organised at Timisgam village of Khaltse sub-division.

In Nubra sub-division, a team headed by SDM, Nubra Dorjey Gyaltson visited Henachey village. Similarly, another team of officers/officials headed by Tehsildar Nubra visited Khyungru village and the team led by Naib Tehsildar Turtuk visited Tyakshi Thang.

During the programme, the concerned officers/officials briefed about the importance of observing good governance week as an attempt to promote citizen-centric governance and improve public service delivery along with redressal of public grievances.

Various services like Schedule Tribe Certificate, Resident Certificate and pending mutations were provided on spot.

The effective and inclusive engagement of all stakeholders in good governance will ensure that the national campaign of ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur 2022’ is a success.
