Babu Rampaul for more sports activities to push youth towards positive direction

JAMMU, June 15: Reiterating that sports activities need to be augmented for channelizing the energy of youth towards positive direction, Former minister Babu Rampaul urged the present UT Government to open more doors for imparting sports training to young generation for yielding positive results of their talent and desist them from following the path of drug addiction.

Former Minister, Zonal President JKNC and President Saryara Saddar Sabha J&K, Babu RamPaul was the chief guest and Ankush Abrol Provincial Joint Secretary JKNC and former member BCCI, presided over the function, Whereas Dr Vikas Sharma Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) and Zonal Secretary JKNC, Baldev Raj General Secretary Saryara Saddar Sabha J&K and BD Dalotra Chairman Saryara Saddar Sabha Bahu Fort were the guests of honour.

Earlier Gorkha Cricket Clubbeat Kacha tallb (Kt) Lions by 39 runs in the Final Match at Bahu Fort.

After batting first, Gorkha Cricket Club was 115/6 with opening wicket partnership of 50 runs between Captain and Manjeet Singh.  While chasing target of 116 runs, After 12 overs, Kacha tallb Lions were 76/10.

In defending the target of 116 runs, Ajay took 2 wickets and conceded only 24 runs.

This was stated by Babu Rampaul, while addressing the players of cricket match between Gorkha Cricket Cluband Kacha tallb (Kt) Lions at Bahu Fort Cricket ground. On this occasion Babu Rampaul felicitated the winning team and also presented trophy and emphasized the imperative need to hold such activities, which generate positive impact on youth and propel them to lead a life of peace and prosperity in the future, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Ankush Abrol appreciated the organizers of the tournament and showered praised on both the teams for displaying excellent sportsmanship during the match. Further he assured full support to more such initiatives.

Dr Vikas Sharma lauded the efforts and determination showed by both the teams during the contest and wished them best of luck for future games. He also congratulated the organising team for providing adequate arrangements during the matches.

The tournament, in which eight teams were participated, organised under the overall supervision of Rupesh Raj and Sumeet.

Among those who spokes on the occasion include, Manohar Raj, Romesh Kumar, Bhadar Lal, Surjit Kumar, Sagar Chand, Vijay Kumar, Ram Singh, and others.
