Government Degree College for Women, Kathua’s NSS Unit Hosts 7-Day Winter Camp

KATHUA, February 22, 2023: The NSS unit of Government Degree College for Women, Kathua, organized a 7-day special Winter Camp from 16th to 22nd February 2023, under the patronage of Dr. Inderjeet Kour, Incharge Principal of the college.

The inaugural session took place in the college Multipurpose Hall (MPH) with the presence of 35 volunteers and faculty members. Senior Faculty member, Dr. Ashwani Khajuria, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Dr. Rachna delivered an orientation lecture, shedding light on the National Service Scheme and its pivotal role in society.NSS Volunteer  Prakriti started the program and Kashish presented the plan of the activities to be done in the coming 7 days.

The inaugural session featured the NSS song and two cultural activities performed by enthusiastic volunteers. Following the ceremony, a cleanliness drive was organized on the campus, with active participation from volunteers and other students of the college.

The entire Winter Camp was conducted under the efficient supervision of Dr. Ritu Kumar Sharma, NSS Program Officer of GDCW Kathua. Key committee members, including Dr. Surbhi Gupta and Dr. Kamini Kapoor, along with faculty members Dr. Sachinjeet Singh, Dr. Mukesh Kumari, Dr. Ajay Sanotra Dr. Satish khajuria and Dr. Sonika Jasrotia, were also present, making the event a resounding success.
