Government Degree College Kastigarh organizes cleanliness drive
DODA, AUGUST 14: Government Degree College (GDC) Kastigarh, under the aegis of its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), conducted a cleanliness drive at the Nagni Water Spring as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada initiative.
The drive was organized under the patronage of Prof. Koshal Kumar Mangotra, Principal GDC Kastigarh, with an aim of promoting cleanliness and hygiene around local water sources.
The primary focus of the event was to clean the water spring near the college, raise awareness about the significance of clean water, and involve the local community in maintaining a hygienic environment. Participants removed plastic waste, organic debris, and other pollutants from the water spring and its surroundings, ensuring the water source remained uncontaminated throughout the process.
Following the cleaning activities, an awareness session was held by faculty members and student leaders. The session educated the local community on the importance of maintaining cleanliness, particularly around water sources, to ensure the safety and well-being of the entire community. Local residents were encouraged to take active responsibility for keeping the water spring clean.
