Govt. SPMR College of Commerce organises Career Counseling, Interactive Session

JAMMU, April 26: Manodarpan Career Counseling Cell and Skill Enhancement Committee of Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu, in collaboration with the National Career Service Centre for SC/ ST, Directorate General of Employment J&K, organized a Career Counseling and Interactive Session here on the College campus.

 Shabaz Choudhary, Sub Regional Employment Officer (SERO) was the chief guest. Prof Barabara Kaul presided over the session. Prof Kaul stressed that the College must strive to create an environment where students can pursue their dreams and achieve their goals.

  Shabaz Choudhary advised the students to enhance their knowledge base by dedicatedly pursuing different vocational courses of Computer Software and Hardware, typing, stenography etc offered through NIELIT for SC/ST candidates interested in developing their skills. These courses of 6 month duration to one year are provided free of cost to SC/ ST students, he added.

Prof Reeta Menia presented the welcome address, while Prof Apfan Ali coordinated the proceedings of the session and presented a vote of thanks. Prof Ashu Manhas, Convener, Manodarpan Career Counseling Cell and Prof Shreya Sharma, Convener, Skill Enhancement Committee coordinated the event.
