GPC Ramban organises Industrial visit for students to BHEP

RAMBAN, MAY 21: Government Polytechnic College, Chanderkote, Ramban organized an Industrial visit for the students of 6th semester, Electrical Engineering Department to Baglihar Hydro-Electric Power (Generation) Project, Chanderkote. The Industrial visit was flagged off by Er Pawan Kumar HOD Electronics and Communication Engineering at the institution.


A total of 41 students accompanied by two faculty members participated in the visit. The students expressed their excitement upon arriving at Baglihar Hydro-Electric Power Project Chanderkote. This industrial visit aimed to provide young minds with firsthand experience and insights into the practical aspects of technology, thus fostering their interest in their Engineering subjects. These experiences are invaluable in linking theoretical knowledge with real world applications.


During the visit, the Junior Engineer along with team guided Mohd Rafiq the students in the Hydro-Electric Power Project and explained the working operational mechanism of machines and equipment used there. The students actively engaged by asking various questions, all of which were satisfactorily addressed by the experts. The students reported a high level of satisfaction with the insights gained from the visit.


The visit was organized under the overall supervision and guidance of the Principal of the Institution Er. Vivek Mahajan. The coordination of the visit was managed by a Demonstrator of the Electrical Engineering Department, Er. Aabid Hussain.
