With 16 shows, first phase of series concludes
HIRANAGAR, NOVEMBER 10: The first phase of the show series of the popular film ‘Gulab Gaatha’ completed here today at Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial Degree College Hiranagar.
The shows in Hiranagar screened in the multipurpose hall with the facilitation of Writer and Director of the Film Balwant Thakur and under the guidance of Dr. Pragya Khanna, the college Principal in presence of Dheeraj Singh Katoch (SDPO Hiranagar), Shreya Sharma (Tehsildar Hiranagar) and Sunil Kaul (SHO, Hiranagar).
Addressing the jam-packed audience, Balwant Thakur shared his vision behind the making of Gulab Gaatha. He recalled that it was Dr. Karan Singh, Chairman of Maharaja Gulab Singh Memorial Trust who inspired him, advised and supported to create a feature film on the first Dogra ruler who created the largest princely state of India, Jammu and Kashmir. Adding further he said that making a historic biopic is not an easy task but Natrang enjoys taking up challenges and found it very exciting to venture this enormous project.
Terming it as a historic moment, Dr. Pragya Khanna thanked Natrang and Maharaja Gulab Singh Memorial Trust for giving their students an opportunity of a lifetime to learn about their glorious past. The film ‘Gulab Gatha’ is about the journey of a soldier who achieves great success at everything he initiated. His unquestionable obligatory obedience towards Lahore Durbar, his unconditional sacrifice and his conception of a kingdom has been regarded and given value in this. The greatness of leaders is not just in their works but in the way they have been appreciated and personified in the eyes of the people.
Pertinently, the most noteworthy part of the film was the dynamic acting by the local artists who simply created magic on screen with their highly professional performances.
