Gurugram, Aug 16 (PTI) A Sector 46 resident was duped of Rs 54 lakh by some men who claimed to be from Adani Health Venturers Ltd (AHVL) and offered him three franchises of the firm, police on Thursday said.

Jitendra Kumar, the complainant, identified the two men as Shashi Sinha and Soumyajit Ganguly in his complaint.

He said that on April 15 the two contacted him as representatives of AHVL and offered him three pharma franchises on behalf of the company.

According to their deal, the three stores were to come up in Sector 46 Huda Market, Gurugram, Bilaspur Chowk, NH-8, and Sector 10 Huda Market, police said.

Kumar was even visited by one Indrashis Das twice on behalf of the designer company, police said.

On May 25, I called interior designer Indrashis, who said that the phones of all the officials of the company were switched off and payments owed to him were also pending,” Kumar said.
