Handicrafts and Handloom Department organises awareness camp in Marhi village Seela Reasi
REASI, DECEMBER 23: The Department of Handicrafts and Handloom today organized an awareness camp in Marhi, village Seela, Reasi, aimed at educating local artisans and weavers about various government schemes. The camp highlighted briefing participants such as Karkhandar Scheme, Artisan and Weaver Credit Card Scheme and other initiatives designed to uplift the traditional crafts sector.
Assistant Director Ujwal Singh Sambyal interacted with the participants, addressing their queries and providing clarity on the benefits and application processes of these schemes. He emphasized the importance of these initiatives in enhancing skill development, financial independence and market access for artisans and weavers.
Encouraging the attendees, he urged them to take full advantage of the schemes and continue preserving their craft heritage. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community, signaling a positive step toward empowering the artisan and weaving fraternity in the region.
