Hari Singh, Rajni Bala kick-start black topping work in Jammu North Assembly
Call for Assembly elections in J&K
JAMMU, June 17: Hari Singh Chib, President DCC Jammu Rural along with Rajni Bala Corporator Ward No 60 and Som Nath Sharma, President BCC Patta Paloura today started black topping works of the road from Lower Roop Nagar Azad Colony to Raina Higher Secondary School Paloura including other adjoining roads in Jammu North Assembly Segment. The road work is estimated to cost Rs 25 lakh and will be executed through Public Works Department.
After starting the development work, Hari Singh Chib and Rajni Bala interacted with people of the area and listened to their grievances. The locals raised serious concern over non-availability of basic amenities like regular supply of water and electricity.
Speaking on the occasion, Hari Singh expressed disappointment with the present government’s failure to provide basic amenities to the people. He also pointed out that Assembly elections in J&K have been due since 2019, but the BJP Government at the Centre has been hesitant to hold them for fear of losing.
Hari Singh Chib emphasized that the government has been conducting other elections, such as ULB, Panchayat and Lok Sabha, so there is no legitimate reason to avoid holding Assembly elections in J&K. He believed that the BJP Government knows that the people of Jammu will not forgive them for betraying their trust and failing to provide basic necessities.
Chib anguished over lack of essential services like regular supply of water and electricity to the public. He questioned the meaning of celebrating nine years of Modi rule when the government has failed to provide even basic amenities to the common masses.
Hari Singh Chib called upon the BJP Government to take serious note of people’s issues and address the concerns of the people. He asked the Central Government to hold Assembly elections in J&K and provide basic necessities to the public.
Rajni Bala, in her address, asserted that the Congress Party can fulfill the aspirations of the people. She believed that the Congress party is the only one that can fulfill the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. She asked people to lend their support to the Congress Party to ensure equitable development of the state.
Rajni Bala also highlighted the party’s commitment towards the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. She informed that several developmental works, aimed at improving the lives of the people, are in the pipeline and will be executed in a phased manner.
