Hari Singh, Uday Bhanu visit Ramzanpura mosque, greet people on Eid-ul-Fitr

Join birthday celebration of Swami Kumar ji

JAMMU, 22 April : Hari Singh Chib, President DCC Jammu Rural along with Uday Bhanu Chib, President Youth Congress Jammu and Kashmir today visited Eidgah at Ramzanpura in Janipur in Jammu North Assembly segment and exchanged Eid-ul-Fitr greetings with members of Muslim brethren.

Interacting with the Muslim brethren, Hari Singh hoped that the Eid will bring prosperity and welfare for the whole community of the state.

The senior Congress leader said that the day symbolises love, compassion and kindness. He asserted that Eid-ul-Fitr reminds us of our responsibility towards poor and needy and inculcates the spirit of sharing happiness and joy with everyone. He said that this joyous occasion would be a harbinger of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity, which are the hallmark of the State’s glorious pluralistic behaviour.

“Let us all pledge today to work unitedly for the peace, prosperity and well being of the State and its people”, he added.

While exchanging Eid greetings, Uday Chib said that such occasions help in fostering bonds of amity and brotherhood, which is essence of the pluralistic ethos of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that every religion teaches peace, brotherhood, amity and love besides tolerance and patience.

Uday hoped that this joyous occasion, which marks the culmination of the period of fasting and prayer during the Holy month of Ramzan, bring happiness, peace and prosperity and be an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to serve humanity. He also asked the people to remain vigilant against divisive forces and maintain communal harmony and peace at all costs.

Among those who accompanied the senior Congress leaders include Som Nath Sharma Block President Patta Paloura, Capt Khushi Ram Bhagat, Madan Singh Chib, Dev Raj and Tarun Vaid.

Meanwhile, Hari Singh Chib along with Uday Bhanu Chib and Rajni Bala Corporator Ward No 60, Jammu today participated in the birthday function of Swami Kumar ji at Lower Roop Nagar Jammu falling in Jammu North Assembly Segment.

The senior Congress leaders sought blessings from Swami Kumar ji and prayed for the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir. They also attended Kirtan and Bhajans on the occasion.
