Health Department organises free medical camp at AAM Kalimasta- Gool

RAMBAN, APRIL 17: The Health Department today organized a comprehensive free Medical Camp at AAM village Kalimasta in Gool.

The medical camp catered to the healthcare needs of residents from the far-flung areas of Kalimasta and Gagra. Over 450 patients availed medical consultations and were provided free medicines. Facilities for Haemoglobin and Diabetes Mellitus testing were made available on the spot, along with screening for Tuberculosis (TB) and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).

The healthcare services were provided as part of the outreach initiative of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary to enhance healthcare access in remote areas.

The team of Doctors led by BMO Gool Dr. Ashfaq Hassan provided comprehensive medical consultations, ensuring satisfactory Medicare to all attendees.

The camp was held under the overall supervision of Chief Medical Officer Ramban, Dr. Kamal Je Zadu, and the guidance of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gool, Imtiaz Ahmed.

Local representatives and senior citizens expressed deep appreciation for the Health Department’s outreach, acknowledging the efforts of Dr. Ashfaq Hassan and his team for bringing specialized care directly to the community’s doorstep.

During his interaction with senior citizens, the BMO addressed several concerns, particularly regarding the issuance of disability certificates. In a significant development, he announced that such certificates will now be issued at CHC Gool, eliminating the need for patients to travel to District Hospital Ramban—thus streamlining the process and greatly benefiting the local population.
