Help Age India delegation calls on CEC LAHDC Tashi Gyalson to discuss welfare of elderly population in Ladakh

Leh Aug 04: A delegation from HelpAge India, Team Leh led by Director, HelpAge India, Leh, Dr. Rajesh Kumar met with Hon’ble CEC/Chairman, LAHDC, Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson today. The delegation comprises of HelpAge India, Leh, Manager, Dawa Zangpo and Coordinator HelpAge India, Leh, Konchok Thinles.

During the meeting, Dr. Rajesh Kumar apprised CEC about the upcoming Consultative Meet scheduled for September 2 at the HelpAge India Centre in Shey Village. He further informed CEC that the Consultative meet will be held to discuss and deliberate on the development of a State Policy for older people in Ladakh.

Dr Rajesh emphasized the importance of government involvement in policy formation and extended an invitation to CEC Gyalson to be the Chief Guest at the event.

He also added that the Consultative meet will be attended by representatives from various government departments and all the local stakeholders, ensuring a comprehensive discussion on the needs and welfare of the elderly population in Ladakh.
