H&H Dept B’pora organizes Awareness programme for Artisans, Weavers & Industrial cooperatives
BANDIPORA, February 11: A day long Awareness Camp for artisans, weavers and Industrial Cooperatives was today organised by the Handicrafts & Handloom (H&H) Department at Block Handicrafts office Bandipora
A large number of cooperative members, artisans and weavers attended the camp.
The camp was presided over by Naseer Ahmad Sheikh, HTO/ ARI Bandipora.
The primary objective of the programme was to give awareness about the latest trends, schemes & benefits available for them with the Departments through a single window system.
The HTO/Assistant Registrar INDUSCOS lauded the efforts of the subordinate staff in reaching out to the artisans and weavers towards formation of cooperative and other departmental schemes and programmes. He further apprised the participants about the schemes being run for their welfare and upliftment.
Speaking on the occasion Mr.Zahid Rafiq Lone, AHTO informed the Artisans, Weavers and Cooperative members about the eight basic services of the Department that have been integrated with JK Single Window System which are now being provided online and hassle free on the portal.
M Ibrahim Gillu AHTO gave detailed information about the latest marketing Facilities available for Artisans and Weavers besides the e-commerce and other platforms available for them.
Speaking on the occasion Gulzar Ahmad Hajam, Auditor INDUSCOS disclosed that the Department has registered 485 new Industrial cooperatives in the District and released Rs 2.225 crores in their favour under financial support scheme besides he also briefed the participants how to become self reliant and self sufficient.
Registration Certificates were also distributed among newly formed Industrial Cooperatives.
