Himachal CM, Dy CM, condoles death of Una’s soldier during an encounter near Srinagar
Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], July 25 (ANI): Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri expressed their heartfelt condolences to the grieving family members of Naik (Gunner) Dilawar Khan, a brave Indian Army soldier who died during an encounter with terrorists near Srinagar.
Khan was from Una district’s Bangana sub-division and made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of the nation during an encounter with terrorists near Srinagar on Wednesday morning.
The Chief Minister described this as a moment of profound sorrow for the people of the state, having lost a brave soldier in the fight against terrorism. He assured that Dilawar Khan’s supreme sacrifice would not go in vain.
Deputy CM Agnihotri, in his condolence message, stated that Dilawar Khan’s martyrdom has sent shockwaves throughout the district. He valiantly fought against terrorists to ensure the safety of his countrymen. Both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister have prayed for the peace of the departed soul and for the family to find the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
The body of 28-year-old Dilawar Khan, a resident of Gharwasda in Bangana, will be brought to his native village on Thursday, July 25, at around 2 pm. According to Deputy Director Sainik Welfare S. Kalia, Dilawar Khan’s funeral will be held with full state honours in his native village, Gharwasda, on Thursday.
Dilawar Khan was born in March 1996 and enlisted in the army on December 20, 2014. The state cabinet, including Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma, has also expressed deep condolences over the martyrdom of this brave soldier.
