Himachal CM meets delegations from Dehra, says MLA office to be opened in assembly constituency

Dehra (Himachal Pradesh) [India], July 22 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met with various delegations from the Dehra Assembly constituency of Kangra district at his official residence here on Monday and listened to their demands and grievances.

He appreciated their efforts to ensure victory of Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur in the assembly bye-elections from the constituency. Kamlesh Thakur is Sukhu’s wife.

According to a press release, the Chief Minister assured the delegations that relevant measures would be taken to address their issues. He said that Dehra is set to become a model assembly constituency in the State in the matter of development.

The state government is committed to providing all possible assistance to resolve the problems being faced by the residents and ensure systematic development in Dehra, he added.

Sukhu said that MLA’s office would be opened in Dehra shortly to help in solving the local issues of the people more efficiently.

Kamlesh Thakur expressed her gratitude to the people of Dehra assembly segment for their support and ensuring her victory in the bye-election.

She said that she would visit Dehra from July 26 to discuss and plan the development model for Dehra. She said that her priority would be to address the needs and issues of the people of Dehra.
