Himachal CM Sukhu calls on PM Modi
New Delhi [India], July 16 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) posted on X: “Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
Earlier in the day, Himachal CM Sukhu called on Union Minister for Power and Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar in the national capital and discussed the issues of the state pending with the Ministry.
He sought the intervention of the Union Minister to restore the rights of the Shanan Power Project to the state as the lease period has expired and to take a decision for an amicable solution on the matter, as stated in an official release.
He also requested the release the pending share due from the BBMB, which has been awaited for many years and is causing losses to state.
The Chief Minister also requested support for the mega solar park in Spiti.
The Union Minister assured of looking into the issues and directed the officers to take the necessary steps.
Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister Ram Subhag Singh, Principal Secretary Finance Devesh Kumar, Resident Commissioner Meera Mohanty and Senior officers of the Ministry were present in the meeting.
