Himachal Pradesh: State Patwari and Kanungo Association agrees to return to work after meeting CM Sukhu
Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], August 15 (ANI): Members of the State Patwari and Kanungo Association decided to return to work after a meeting with the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Dehra on Thursday.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister assured the delegation that the State Government would consider their legitimate demands with a positive outlook, as per a press release.
Additionally, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that making Patwaris and Kanungos state cadres was a policy decision and asked the association to cooperate in this important initiative.
Further, he said that the Patwaris and Kanungos play a crucial role in implementing government schemes at the grassroots level.
He also stated that the government was working on a mission mode to address the issues faced by the common people, with Patwaris and Kanungos being key contributors to this mission.
The Chief Minister assured the delegation that the state government was committed to enhancing the facilities for Patwaris and Kanungos.
Additionally, he said that the state government has restored the old pension scheme and the state government is committed to providing benefits to its employees in a phased manner.
President of the State Patwari and Kanungo Association, Satish Chaudhary, expressed full support for the government’s initiatives and assured the Chief Minister of the association’s cooperation.
Additionally, he said that all Patwaris and Kanungos would donate one day’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as a gesture of goodwill.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, MLAs Sanjay Ratan, Sudarshan Bablu, and Malendra Rajan, former MLA Ajay Mahajan, Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue Omkar Chand Sharma, along with other officials of the State Patwari and Kanungo Association, were present.
