Horticulture Department organises awareness workshop on PMFME scheme at Kathua
KATHUA, JULY 26: Prime Minister’s Formalization of Micro Food Processing (PM-FME) scheme awareness workshop was organized by Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing (Nodal Department PMFME) Kathua at Panchayat Ghar Dhalli Dayalachak (Kathua).
The workshop was attended by Rakesh Kumar SDM Hiranagar, Subash Sharma (ex- Sarpanch Panchayat Dhalli) Dayalachak, Area Marketing Officer Kathua, besides GMI (R) & other officials of the department.
Lead Bank Manager Kathua, Branch Manager JKB Dayalachak, officers from the Agriculture & Horticulture Department, District Resource Person PMFME Kathua also attended the workshop.
DRP Kathua briefed audience about features of the Scheme, its scope and benefits.
Rajeev Sharma GMI Kathua briefed about scope of Food Processing Industry in District Kathua and people were encouraged to avail maximum benefits under the Scheme, where handholding will provided by all the concerned.
The programme witnessed large participation and several interested participants were covered under PMFME Scheme on spot.
AMO Kathua briefed participants about scope of micro food processing industry for providing employment to unemployed youth, SHG members and also for value addition of farmers produce. LDM Kathua briefed audience about the various benefits of Food processing under the Aegis of PMFME.
Subash Sharma Ex – Sarpanch appreciated efforts being put in by the Government to make aware public about various government schemes through a number of outreach programs. He exhorted public to take benefit of PMFME scheme to become self sufficient and also to give employment to others. Manager JKB, Dayalachak also spoke on the scheme w.r.t it’s loaning, subsidy etc.
SDM Hiranagar graced the occasion and impressed upon the youth of the area to come forward and enroll in PMFME scheme to take its benefits.
