Horticulture deptt Srinagar organises one day Awareness/ Training programme at Women’s College Batpora campus

SRINAGAR, August 01: The Horticulture Department Srinagar today organised a one day awareness/training programme at Womens College Batpora campus under MIDH scheme, with the theme of employment generation.

During Training programme, more than 150 participants including students of the institute and faculty members headed by Principal of the College, Tehmeena Yousuf participated in the programme.

Joint director Horticulture Kashmir, Z.A Bhat graced the occasion as chief guest of the programme; Chief Horticulture Officer Srinagar, V.K Gupta; Chief Canning Instructor, V. Anand and District Horticulture Officer Srinagar, S.I Hussain deliberated on the employment generation schemes run by the department.

During the programme, training/awareness was given to the participants as to how to be an entrepreneur and the programme was supported with the success stories displayed on screen.

On the occasion, different kinds of potted fruit plants were also distributed among the participants.

Besides other officers/officials DLSMS, Saima Hameed, HDO Zakura, HDO Shalimar and Canning instructor also participated in the said programme.
