Horticulture P&M Shopian organized awareness programme on PMFME

SHOPIAN, March 23: Under the Banner “Atma Nirbhar  Bharat”, the Department of Horticulture Planning & Marketing (P&M) Shopian today organized 7th awareness programme on Prime Ministers Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme in Block Imamsahib at Panchayat Ghar Barbugh Shopian. 

A large gathering of Potential entrepreneurs and SHGs of the block participated in the event.

BDC Chairman Avtar Krishan Pandita, Area Marketing Officer Shopian along with his field staff, District Horticulture Officer Shopian, Representatives/Experts from line departments , PRI Members and District Resource Persons PMFME Scheme Shopian attended the programme.

 Area Marketing officer, (AMO) Shopian / District Nodal officer (DNO) for the scheme addressed the gathering and presented an overview and potential scope of the scheme in the district. 

The Scheme offers 35% credit linked capital subsidy with a maximum ceiling of Rs. 10.00 lakhs and Rs. 40,000/- seed capital per member for SHGs and Producer Cooperatives with a support for Branding and Marketing and hand holding to the units to be established under the scheme.

 The participants were urged to come forward and reap the benefits of the scheme.

 Expressing the desire, preliminary registration of some potential entrepreneurs was done on spot.  BDC Chairman Avtar Krishan Pandita also spoke on the occasion and ensured every possible support to the implementing agency for successful implementation of the scheme in Block Imamsahib Shopian.
