Huge Cache of arms & ammunition recovered from Kupwara’s Machhal Sector
KUPWARA August 18: In a coordinated effort between the Indian Army, Border Security Force (BSF), and Jammu and Kashmir Police, a joint operation was launched in the Machhal Sector of Kupwara from 15-18 August. The operation was based on intelligence inputs received from various agencies indicating the likely presence of a cache of war-like stores in the area. The operation yielded significant results, with a substantial cache of arms and ammunition being recovered. The recovered items include 5 AK rifles, 7 pistols, 4 hand grenades, and other material of incriminating nature. The search operation is still underway, led by the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army. This successful operation is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the security forces in ensuring the safety and security of the region.
